ABOUT CARE

CARE is dedicated to mitigating crime and gang violence through mentorship, advocacy, and education. Our mission encompasses reducing youth incarceration rates, decreasing crime, minimizing recidivism, and preventing tragic outcomes. We also focus on fostering career and job readiness, repairing relationships with family and the community, and guiding individuals to navigate prison sentences safely and productively, ultimately leaving the prison system better than they entered.

  • Our program, "CARE Critical Mentorship," is dedicated to providing valuable guidance and support to individuals transitioning from incarceration to community life. Led by mentors who have firsthand experience with the challenges of reintegration, our program aims to empower mentees with the skills, resources, and encouragement they need to succeed. Through meaningful mentorship relationships, we foster understanding, empathy, and positive connections that contribute to the successful reentry and rehabilitation of individuals impacted by incarceration.

vision

We envision a transformative system where we equip system-involved youth with the essential tools and resources needed to be successful upon reentry, empowering them to break the cycle of re-offending. Our ultimate goal is to cultivate a community of productive citizens who dismantle generational cycles of crime and gang involvement, creating a safer and more prosperous society for all.

“Justice involved youth tend to have a much higher need for supportive services than the general population of youth.””
